Default The 45 Hawken all set

I got the .45 cal Hawken all set up and is shooting fantastic using 370 gr cast paper patched bullets. I have it sighted in at 1" high at 100 yards which should put me right on about 125.
My load is 80gr of FFFg with a over powder veggie wad and the 370 gr cast bullet sized to .443" and paper patched bringing the dia up to .449".
It still baffles me how a bullet that fits the bore so loosely can be so dog gone accurate. My hats off to IdahoRon for putting me onto this. I've almost duplicated his set up as my rifle has a GM 1:30 .45 cal barrel, a Lyman 57 peep and a Pedersoli globe front sight. I use the fine crosshair insert and it is deadly accurate. I hope to test her out on a nice fat whitetail doe next week during PA's early ML season.
