I know the feeling. I have to have 2.5 reading glasses . That's why I am so happy with this setup . I kinda gave up on open sights in my late fifties . Now I am in my early 60's and think I might be able to go back to open sights for a little while . At least at 100 I know I can. I can hardly wait to try 200 and 300 . Been a few years since I did any 200 + yard hunting with open sights . If nothing else I can have fun trying to poke paper

This video covers cleaning and loading. I made it more for beginners. But in this video I am shooting a gong out to 300 yards with my 45 cal Hawken.

40 inches are really great! Pretty impressive. Thinking to start practicing shooting again :P
