Default Got A Buck Last Evening

A buck came out into the wheat field at about 7:00 pm. He weighed about 140 pounds. The entrance wound is visible just below the fore end of my rifle. Bullet exited in front of the off side ham. Deer went about 40 yards after being hit. There was no blood trail: Not one drop except where the deer fell.

Distance: About 60 yards
Attitude: Quartering to

Rifle: TC .50 Black Diamond
Scope: Minox
Bullet: 250 grain SST
Powder: 100 grains of Black MZ
Sabot: Crush rib
Primer: Remington #11

Photobucket has given me fits all day.

That's a good eatin buck falcon. You can't ask for more from a bullet than that. Through the shoulder and passing through half of the body before exiting and then only traveling only 40 yards. Congratulations.

Looks like a GREAT Eating buck to me. I hope I get to see one like that here in PA, but it's got to have at least 3 points on one side to be legal.

Delicious! Congratulations.
Would you use the SST again, given that it didn't produce a blood trail?

Nice job Falcon! Funny how sometimes they just don't bleed well, even on a good shot.
Congrats

i won't hesitate to use the SST again. That bullet has killed many deer and hogs for me.
