Default 300g Speer JSP--80g Powder

Once upon a time an old goat requested this 45 caliber 300g Speer bullet be tested. When invited to provide a couple of bullets for the test, this ugly, stingy old geezer declined. Luckily Scott provided the bullets for the test. The standard carpet, plywood, and 5 water jugs were used. The set was backed up by a 5 pound powder jug filled with water, and a phone book. The powder charge was 80g of Blackhorn.

The bullet went through the carpet, plywood, and destroyed the first two jugs. Then the bullet penetrated through the third, fourth, and fifth jug , and into the powder jug. There was an exit hole in the powder jug, and there were pages torn in the phone book, however, the bullet was found inside the powder jug. The small piece of the bullet was found embedded in the plastic of the second water jug. The bullet now weighs 297.2 grain.

Those bullets are quite tough and cheap when you can find them.
