Default Omega Update

Some of you may remember the omega I had built.

it has the 1:18 Douglas bull barrel and was equipped with a Vortex Viper 6.5 x 20

I have been having pretty good results with 95 gr by weight of Blackhorn and the 270 gr Emax . But I decided to increase the challenge and make the gun more versatile at the same time.
I wanted a long range open sight set up that would be quick remove so I could use either peep or scope.
here's what I finally decided on

on the rear an Al Lipski quick release base

attached to that is the Lyman 90 mjt sight
I may upgrade later

on the front will be a Phoenix precision Long Range sight attached by barrel band (Bestill is machining the barrel to fit )
you can read about the front sight at phoenixprec.com It excepts a standard 22mm iris

the iris for the front sight is the Centra vario swing. you can find info about it at Sinclairintl.com

The sight system should be installed and on its way back to me in a couple of days.
I will post pics of it on the gun soon.
My goal is to practice some 2-300 yards shooting at deer targets.
then eventually move on to the real thing

By using course adjustment on front and fine adjustment on rear i should be able to maintain good cheek weld to 500 yards .

And even better is the fact that Phoenix makes a barrel band to fit A Knight so the sight can be used on my 1:20 Knight also
