Congrats beautiful shot,nice doe, what part of the state are you hunting ? I will be moving near Wilmington next summer and have no idea where to hunt there.

I live on the east coast of NC in New Bern. It's about a2 hour drive from Wilmington.

You have Holly Shelter gameland just north of Wilmington right around Hampstead off the 17N for one area. Here is an interactive map that will help you out with finding areas that are public lands. Check each one and look into the area as some have a permit required to hunt in them.

Other than that you will either have to find a farmer to allow you on (which is hard around here) or join a hunt club. Best of luck.
