Default The new 185 and 215grn CF bullets by Lehigh Defense

I did some more shooting today with the new Controlled fracturing bullets by Lehigh Defense. These are .40 bullets, and the weather is rainy and windy.

Looks like you may want to drop down to 110 or even 100 grains powder on those 185's. Your rifle didn't like that load too much or you were having a bad shooting day. Seems your rifle USUALLY eats 100 yards for lunch.

Weather is bad but your right. I haven't been shooting all that great lately. I blame it on my front rest its leaking sand lol...I need to order another one. I think the 1/20 is s little fast for those 185's as well. Need to get out a 45 Disc Elite and shoot those again.

Yeah that's a little quick for those 185's I'd imagine. Try taking it to a 100 grain load in that same rifle. I'd bet it will tighten the group up significantly. I know with 200gr Shockwaves in my 1/28 twist I had to really heat up the load to get them to tighten up so I would have to imagine that the opposite is true with a really fast twist.

So far pretty good. I assume you will do some more testing on them?
You're a diehard shooting in the rain.

Your 200yd group is as good as your 100yd group. How come?

I've done that many times before. Probably taking more time at 200 yards.

I think the problem is you shot the wrong targets. You should have shot the ones the bullets are sitting on.
Overall, how do you like the 215??

Lol, I'm glad you picked up on that. My 2nd shot at 200 yards is on the target beside it. Lol

The 215grn bullet is a lot more user friendly. The old 230grn bullet is just to long for current sabots in my opinion. The 215 should take over being my favorite long range bullet. The 185 or the 200grn bullets are all you need to stop Deer or Boar in there tracks.
