Lehigh Defense new contolled fracturing bullet design

I really love the accuracy of the Parker 275gr BE. I tend to shoot them on the fast side so they become a little fragile. The deer dont seem to be aware of this issue but the thought is still in the back of my mind each time i use them for hunting.
This year i want to try the 300gr BE and some Lehigh/Bloodlines at similar speeds. I also hope to try the Lehigh full bore .502 CF if they will fit.

The full bore 50cal is still being tested. Im hoping to get 2 sizes just for a test fit in a true .500 bore. The actual bullet is .500 but the bands are larger OD. A .502 is likely to be extremely tight depending on the thickness of the engraving bands.
Im fairly sure a .502 would be fine if they were made from copper or if i anneal the brass.

Using your data, i figure to dial about 6 1/2 moa up, to be on target at 200. Looks to be about 14" drop out there.

I shot all the XP bullets at 200 yards. I have not shot the CF bullets at 200 yards. I will start doing that.

These are the bullets that are currently available. I have a new .40 215grn CF bullet to test this week.

One question as a new .45 shooter... if the 230 bloodlines were considered the holy grail by those who got to try them out, why doesn't lehigh just put those out?
From what I've read, they've already proven themselves beyond measure. Seems to me like a heavier bullet would ultimately be better for long distance hunting, rather than trying to go lighter (ie: 215). I know its only 15gr but you get my point.

In other words, are too many honchos at Lehigh from "open terrain America", which is such a small audience of shooters. Most ML shooters live further North and further East, where 100-150 yard shots are considered long. Where mushroom expansion is implanted so heavily in their store purchases.
BTW..... I sometimes shoot my 50/40 260 grain Precision Extremes. Talk about a long, narrow bullet...... they shoot very well, but not at "open terrain distances. But again I must mention that 90% of America want bullets for 150 yards and under. 5% more want up-to 200 yard targets. Then there's the last remaining 5% group that want 200-400 yards....... so many in that group posting either here, or at Modern or Doug's.
I was away from ML messageboards for several years. Now most of the posts and threads are from ML technical employees or designers. So few posts are from "real ML America"..... the Average-Joe shooters/hunters looking for accessories different than what's often discussed on ML boards today.
OK, I'm done ranting for this month and next.....lol
