Thanks Semi, looks like I found my hunting bullet for the Optima pistol. One more range session should make it happen...

Nice work Semi! I killed a nice 9pt buck a few years back with a gun that was loaded for over a year on a clean barrel. I didn't do it on purpose either, I leave mine loaded the whole season until I shoot a deer with it, or shoot the load out at the end of the season. Just forgot that time to shoot it out at the end of the season, and when I grabbed it out of the safe the following year I was surprised it was still loaded. I use a pink ribbon on mine

I had a powderhorn a while back, just didn't like it. Not really sure what the deal was with it...just for some reason it didn't feel right when looking through it. Looks like yours is shooting fine.

Funny you should say that WV Hunter. For some reason I'm not enamored with the Powderhorn scope either. Can't say why really. It's not a bad scope. The optics are good, adjustments are accurate and hold position with no problem even with extreme recoil. But like you, it just doesn't "feel right when looking through it". Maybe it's because I'm so used to the half dozen 4X ProDiamonds I have on most of my guns, with their wide field of view and quick target acquisition. I put it on the X7 mainly to play with the BDC feature.
