Doesn't make sense. If I sent you a PM, and told you to stop sending me spam PM's. Wouldn't you respond to me saying you didn't send anything?

Pete ,I don't know a lot about it I had a friend show me how to find the first source and that one is plainly labeled generator. As I under stand it that usually means some one has inserted a spam generator.

Maybe the message itself is from a generator, but Wub sent it?

Who knows?

I have no idea what a spam generator is. But after doing a Google search on the website in the spam mail, it sounds to me like Wub maybe gets paid for sending these out..... I dunno.
How did he get my email address to begin with, for I have never had any private or public interaction with him?

If Wub is innocent, then that tells me 'maybe' Hunting.net got hacked, which revealed our email addresses.

Are you saying you received you got a spam email from Wub? Everybody else got spam PMs.

I don't know all of the techie details but I've assumed that Wub's computer got hacked along with his log-in and password info. That information would allow a spammer/hacker to send PMs and email if they wanted to through Wub's HNI account (although Wub's account is temporarily suspended for a week at present).

Just when I was feeling left out. . .

Received a message from wub within the last hour. The PM indicated he was banned. I assume that a banned member cannot send PMs meaning he was banned after the message was sent.

I temp banned Wub yesterday (5-20-15). Could you check the date/time sent on your PM and let me know. If the spam program is still able to send spam from Wub's account when he's temp banned, I need to ask IT some questions. Thx.

Cal,

I'm confused. Why would you ban Wub if he didn't send the PM's? I was assuming he did. What does he say about them?

Did you ban his account to see if the PM's would stop?
