In some fairness to the DNR at one time there were tons of deer. Seeing ten or more a day was common. Get a license and if you went in the woods you were almost most assured of at least a shot. Whether you hit it or not was your problem. And there were a lot of car deer accidents. It was actually dangerous to drive at night. So they began their doe slaughter legislation.

We do have groups that voice their opinion. The DNR also hold county meetings so we can go and voice what we want. But they ignore what we say.
