Vortek Ultralight LDR - Hornady FPB
Took the Traditions Ultra Light LDR out late this evening with 100gr Blackhorn209, CCI 209M primers and the 300gr Hornady FPB. Man are those mofo's tight loading! I actually felt like crying due to my palm hurting to pounding on the short starter
They shot freakin AMAZING out of this gun though, so if I was hunting with them, I'd be EXTREMELY confident in the rifles ability to place it in an elk or any game animal.
This IS a 3 shot group.
Back side of the target is a little easier to see the outlines of the bullets. That'd be the big gaping hole LOL. The rest are AK rounds from earlier.
One hell of a shooter! I did give it a few minutes between shots as I found it likes that best with the FPB bullets.
The FPB's still load horrible and KILL your hand by having to beat on the short starter and so when the .502 Thors come in, I'll be happy to load those instead LOL.

So what you're saying is that a quick follow up shot is going to be out of the question huh? That really is a great group. But you have to ask yourself is it worth the aggrivation?
Nice shooting on your part too.

I too am shooting 300 FPB's out of my Vortek Ultralight with 95 grains of BH209. Mine load perfect, only hassle is getting it started, but that is getting easier the more I practice. I only shot 1 group with the scope, 3 shots, 3/4" at 50 yds. Took the scope off to practice with the Peep Rib sight for my CO elk hunt and that is also shooting great. About 1" at 50, took 1 shot at 120 and was very excited to see it in my 6" square target, all from a sitting position or leaning against a tree. Still lots of practice to do before September. I have loaded up to 8 rounds without cleaning and the 8th loaded as good as the first.

What short starter are you using? I use this one from T/C and can load and shoot 30 plus shots without a problem:

And I also use this rod with a flip up handle to seat the bullet. Not much pressure required, but some bores are smaller:
