Default New Toy - First Range trip

I bought this on the cheap last month. Mostly, because I thought the sights were cool. It's a Traditions Lightning with a 1/32 twist. I knew it would shoot sabots and I fired a few through it. Nice group at only 25 yards. I then switched to Buffalo Ball-ets which are great because I don't need to swab between shots.

This is my first go with a peep so I was pretty happy with the results.

25 yards.

50 yards

Josmund

Good Shooten... And I also really like that rear sight... I wonder if that was a stock sight or an aftermarket... Has it got a name on it?

Sabotloader,

It's a mystery sight. No markings and it looks old. I only used it in the lowered position. It will take considerable tinkering to figure out the long range or up position accuracy.

Josmund, that sight alone is probably worth what you paid for the gun.

Very nice shooting. That should be a good rifle.
