Default Scope for Black Diamond Arrived Today

Got the new scope for my Black Diamond today. It's a Minox ZA-3 3X10X40. The scope has the BDC reticle. Minox scope parts are made in Germany and the scopes are assembled in the USA. i have a ZA 5 Minox on my coyote gun. Love that scope.

Didn't have time to install the scope today and i'm off to build fence tomorrow. Hope to get the scope put on Wed.

That sounds great! I bet you that rifle will be able to shoot long ranges with ease. Keep us posted.

That's a great scope, falcon. Congrats!! Very good glass, much like a Zeiss Conquest.

Foiled again!!!!

Thought medium Weaver top rings would be high enough for that scope: Wrong, it needs high rings: Largest 40 mm objective i ever saw. Can't get away from the fence stuff; only 1.5 miles left. Maybe it will rain soon and i can get to the city.

Done.

It rained last night and i took a day off. Got my rings and mounted the scope. That scope has awesome glass. i adjusted the ocular with the scope set on 3X. When a scope is mounted the ocular is adjusted while looking at a 3/16" hole in a fence post bracket 35 yards away. With this scope the hole is clear and distinct on 3X.

Looks great, falcon. I think you will love that scope, the glass is excellent. That objective looks bigger than 40mm to me- more like 42 or 44? Humm. I found a really good deal on these ZA-3's and will probably order one this weekend. Good luck with yours.

Looks like a nice set-up falcon. Let us know how the scope performs when you get a chance to shoot it.
