A Potential Black Diamond Victim

This boar hog is coming to a feeder several times every week-usually just after sunset. My tree stand is about 35 yards behind the hog in the photo. He comes out of a deep gully and passes within a few feet of my stand.

Problem is that the place is 76 miles from home.

Have you had a chance to shoot your new Black Diamond very much? Have you found a good load for it yet?

It's not been shot since the scope was changed out. The scope is a Nikon 4X32 and the gun grouped well using the Hornady 240 grain .430 XTP in a crush rib sabot ahead of 100 grains of 3F Pinnacle. Eventually the gun will get a better scope.

When the gun is re-scoped it will be sighted in with the excellent Barnes 225 grain .430 XPB bullet.

Falcon, California has a huge wild pig population.more pigs are taken here than deer. only problem i have, it's a 5 hr trip from here to central CA..
