Default Sometimes its just the shooter

Gosh dang! I finally got this website to load without crashing.

I did this shooting yesterday with the Wolf, 250gr Aerolite Powerbelt, 100gr Blackhorn209 and the CCI 209 Mag primers.

I was sighting in the scope due to the Point Of Impact change that happened when I installed the new Blackhorn breech plug. There was a huge difference at long range.

After struggling, i noticed the bulls eye was moving around. Same BS my Bushnell scope was doing, only this was a Konus Scope.

I know my eyes are out of wack for a few years now, always saying im going to get around to updating and never do. And so for an experiment I completely took my glasses off, looked through the scope and could not see any cross hairs!

Adjusted the scope lens for my bare eyes " screwed all the way in" and I got the rifle shooting perfect! No more bulls eye wiggle in the cross hairs this time around.

So it looks like I DO need some new eye glasses.

I was NOT shooting 100 yards this time out. I had intended to but when i got there, the snow melt turned my 100 yard table into soup and my chair is still sunk into the mud.

Had to go to my long range table and shot from 160 yards for this group.

Plug after 18 shots,

That is great shooting. And that breech area looks like new. Very nice.

Nice shooting. Just curious if you had to adjust the firing pin bushing out to eliminate any blow back from primer.

I thought it might have been as clean as the breech plug is. Thanks.

You got to be kidding! Do you see how far that "flyer" is from the other two. There has to be at least 1/4" of paper there! Well I guess it would be OK if he were shooting offhand from 160 yds.
But I guess old MM will start shooting better once he gets his new glasses.

That's some fine shooting MD. Now you had your glasses off and had the scope adjusted to your eyes, when you have your glasses on do you adjust the scope to your glasses also?
I would'nt be posting anymore pics of your groups untill you get your new glasses, your starting to look bad on paper

I actually look forward to new glasses, I'll be set for hunting season and should be able to make out animals a lot better LOL.

I agree being able to see when hunting is a good thing.
