Default ? for cva Wolf shooters.

I am getting ready to start shooting a new Wolf I picked up. I was wondering what sabots/slug combo is working for others. I will be shooting BH 209, federal 209A primers and using the new cva 209 breech plug. Thanks in advance for any responses. I have some 300 grn pt golds and black cr sabots to try first.

try 100-110gr BH209 with those.

If the groups are so so, order some mmp hph24 sabots. www.mmpsabots.com

One of the few bullet sabot combinations to shoot in most guns is the Shock Wave the 250 grain Shock Wave has shoot very well in all the inline rifles I have had.

I have to agree with you Lee, as long as the right sabot is used. another bullet that performs like the SST is the Harvester PT gold..

Thanks for the responses. If the black cr sabots don't group with the pt golds, I will look into the black hph24s

Mine shoots good with .452 250 grain Deep Curls with Harvestor Crush Rib sabots and also .40 cal 200 grain XTP with MMP blue .50/.40 sabots. Both with 70 - 80 grains of powder. I haven't had time to play around much to find a really sweet load yet, though. Both of the above loads shoot 1 - 2" groups at 65 yards, which is far as my dad (I set it up for him) will ever shoot....
