Default Renegade barrel question

Just curious to what kind of rifling depth these barrels normally have? I just got in a .50cal barrel and the rifling is very very shallow. Just curious if thats normal.

MD, Probably. T/C Renegade or Hawken barrels do not normally have very deep rifling. Nothing like a Lyman or GM

MD, The PRB guns usually have shallower rifling the rifles designed for sabot have a bit deeper rifling.

I think that's backwards Lee. My 1:60 & 1:70 twist round ball barrels all have deeper rifling than my 1:28 & 1:30 twist barrels.

Looking at my 1-48 TC's they all seem to have shallow grooves at least comparable to inline bores.

I'm pretty sure the rifling in the T/C Renegade and Hawken barrels is only about .007 to .008 thousandths deep...BPS
