Default OFF TOPIC....HURRY and Look at the MOON

This is Weird, I have never seen anything like this. The Moon is Full with a big Rainbow Ring around it, the moon is'nt suppos-to-be full untill Jan 23'd. Can anyone else see this???????? Sorry but I took many Pics but this is the best I could get. Click on the pic untill it comes up, then click on that pic and it will enlarge it, then again.

If someone is awake still and can see this and has a better camera than I do Please get some Pics, you may never see this again.

Might want to check your lunar calendar because mine says full moon Jan 9th.

I've seen the moon many times with the ring around it. I'm sure they have some kind of name for it.

Dat means you will get a little snow tomorrow. When the ring is close to the moon then you will get heavier snow.

Remember all the old sayings about weather. Red sky in the morning sailors take warning. Red sky at night is a sailor's delight. If the paper wasps build high in the trees, it means deep snow this winter. When the tammarak drop their needles, it will snow within two weeks.


I have seen the rings of the moon before. But never knew the reason. Thanks for the link.

Sory guy's but I thought this was something special, I've never seen a ring around the moon this big, I've seen one's that were real close to it but this one must have streached for thousands and thousands of miles. It was'nt just me either, I was getting calls all night to go out and look at it, they were as amazed as I was.
