Default Wolf trigger

Got a new Wolf in yesterday for my step brother. I adjusted the head space and i knew the trigger felt heavy so i measured it and it broke at 40 to 41oz on 4 pulls.

Took the rear stock off and sprayed some barricade and dribbled a little graphite in there.

She now breaks at 26 to 28oz! That packing grease they use is some nasty stuff!

So now shes all set and ready to go over to Illinois.

What kind of trigger-pull gauge do you have? I've been thinking about getting one.

There's more to trigger pull than how easy it pulls, the smoothness of the pull is what I like the best. Also I like to not know when the MLer will fire, if you anticipate the shot you'll never get good accuracy. If I can feel the trigger pulling as I pull on it it's too hard, if I can pull on it slowly and easily as it goes off that's what I like the best.
Yes they pack some serious stuff in the MLers to protect in case of long storage and shelf life. A good rince with some Brake Cleaner then a good quality Synthetic Oil will do good. I used to use a (Dry Lube Synthetic Oil) for this, but I'll be dang if I can remember the name of it. It was expensive but worked great. Ever since I got my Accuras I had no need for it anymore, I like the 2lb trigger pull and the clean smooth pull of the triggers on them.

I wouldn't use brake cleaner, its know to remove nickel finishes, especially painted finishes, Carb cleaner might be safer but i know for a fact that the gun scrubber will not remove anything gut the grease, which is what i want.

I agree on trigger creep, this one doesnt have any so its just like a piece of glass breaking.

Im using an RCBS trigger scale right now. I want to get a fancier one later but this gets the job done for now.

Nice catch MD, I ment to say Carb Cleaner, your right Brake Cleaner is some nasty stuff and will take the paint off.

I love that little gun! Such a handy rifle to carry around. I have the most economical one with black stock. Paid $149.00 plus tax. I have only shot it at 50yds so far with open sights.

I load it up with 40gr of pyrodex for the old lady at 25 yds. She loves shooting that thing as much as I do.

Bump that sucker up to 70grs and she'll never know the difference.
