These totals are very interesting. If I had to draw a conclusion I would say that market availability (XTP's are ready available) and cost (XTP's are usually cheap because they are made and sold by the gazillions) important factors.

I agree. I prefer the barnes, but the Gold dots shoot real well out of my Omega as do the XTPs. When it comes to hunting with the Omega, the Speers go down the barrel because they are bonded.

I hunt with a ML very little here in Florida but why would you want a bonded bullet when it's only coming out of the muzzle at about 1800 fps or so? Seems that you would want a bullet that wouldn't be so toughly constructed for the vast majority of big game hunting.

well considering most of the above are handgun bullets and when shot out of a ML they exceed the velocity that handguns produce by some margin...
and you don't get the core popping out of the jacket-the Speer Uni-cor bullets expand very well and remain together...
