My Endeavor, then depending on how far I expected to shoot, the 325 gr. FTX, the 300gr. Lehigh, or the 300gr. Bonded Shock Wave. With a load of 140 gr of Blackhorn forthe 300grain bullets and a 130 gr load of Blackhorn for the 325 grain. This is what they shoot best with.

The ,54 Lyman Trade Rifle flintlock or the .58 caliber GMB.. all depending on how far I had to walk. For the inline, I would use a .504 White Model 97 Ultra Mag.

X7, loaded with 300g partition, 110g BH209, crush rib sabot, and W209 primer.

Where i would hunt elk, a long shot is rare, rare; the timber is thick, the slopes are steep, and walking is treacherous. The X7 is perfectly suited to be the rifle one would carry. In this same country, i used to carry a Ruger ultralight re-barreled to a 19" barrel chambered in .358 Winchester. The 358 was loaded with 225g Nosler Partition bullet, killed several elk, and perfectly suited my needs at the time. It seems to me, the X7 loaded with 300g Nosler Partition would be better.

Knight Disc Elite 45, with a 200grn Lehigh at 2500fps. Traditional would be my Lyman DeerStalker flintlock shooting a 300grn Extreme Elite.

Talking

It would either be my T/C .58 cal. Big Boar or my Knight Vision. The Vision would be loaded with a Hornady 350 gr. FPB and 100 grs. of BH209.

The T/C Big Boar would be loaded with a conical (of which I am still searching for) and Goex BP. Currently the .58 cal shoots a PRB very nicely. Now I am not sure if that would take down a large bear of elk though.
