Default 250 vs 290 Barnes?

if both shoot accurate, which would you choose to use on deer? How much flatter shooting is the 250? Thanks

For whitetail the 250 is all you need. 290's will carry more energy down range, for longer shots.

The .250 gr for shorter shot and the .290 for long range.

I prefer the 290 because of the energy it carries short and long. It flies better for me as well.

unless you are shooting moose or elk you don't need the 290 grain... and frankly the 250 grain would work on those as well...

The Barnes 250 gr TMZ is a boattail and that is what I shoot for deer. It shoots extremely good out of my gun with a 115gr of BH209 Win 209's and is capable of stopping a deer in it's tracks out to 150yds.
