me and jess did another round of house tours. found and put an bid on one that is in the city close to where we live now. been going back and forth with the owners all day. only could get them to go down $2000 so far. we are going to do one more tour of the house to look for major problems. taking an friend who works for the city (he is the guy we have to go to do get approval to have any major remodeling done to the house and beer and diner labor for anything we can do ourself)
if everything goes right, we may take there final offer.

Corey, buying a house is a major purchase, the biggest of your lives.take your time weigh everything out when looking at various houses and most of all be patient.my advice would be to try and buy one that needs the least amount of work.it's a buyers market! we bought the one were in now 2 years ago and our payment is less than rent we were paying and has everything we wanted...good luck

it is the best one out of the ones we looked out in the price range. we are ready. god, you should of some need major work to be done to it. this one, 2 windows, a coat of paint in some places on the out side, and an hand rail going to the basement. the inside look of the house needs to be updated. They put SHAG CARPET underneath some areas
