Default T/C Cougar 50 Cal and 338 Plat PB

Well this is the first time to shoot this rifle

70gr 777 3F
#11 Winchester Magnum Cap
338 PowerBelt Platinum AeroTip
No Swabbing she is a Dirty Girl
100 yards shooting sticks

Took first shot at 25 yards to see were the impact would be,that is the very first one high on the target...So I then moved the plywood and target to 100 yards. Then I turned the sight down about two full turns..I guessed and was lucky for once..
Boy that is a along way with no scope to look through..

Thanks
I wasn't sure what would happen with the PB's and that is the only conical style bullet I have and I think it worked out well

I was very impressed with the new FPB cconical from Hornady. You might look the 350 grain over they have come out with a 300 grain but I get over lapping holes with the 350 and have stocked up on them so I have not tried the 300 grain.

Lee; i second the motion on the 350 grain FPB bullets. They are serious hog thumpers.

I would also second the FPB's. I've shot the 300's through my Woodsman Hawken, also with 70gr 3f, t7. Excellent groups. Also found I could shoot 5-6 times without swabbing and no loss of accuracy.

Very nice shooting. It looks like you were having a good time.
