Default Load recommendations

Gonna do some shooting soon, wanted to try out some new loads. I have a .50 Knight MK-85. I shoot Pyrodex RS powder, and #11 caps. I currently shoot 100gr w/ .260 gr knight saboted bullets. They've always shot great, and I've killed everything I've ever shot at. That said...feel like I'd like to experiment a little.

I saw the post about the deep curls, definitely want to give them a try. Love how they expanded out and held together. What type of sabots do you recommend? I think I'll try the 250gr to start.

Any other load combinations that you think might work well in my gun would be appreciated.

Oh, and where is the best places online to purchase?

Thanks!

In my Knight rifles the HPH -24 work real good. I have only a 22 inch barrel model so I only shoot 85 grains of powder, but it is real accurate.

With my MK I am shooting #11 mag cap (actually a RWS 1075) igniting 110 grains of T7-3f pushing a 270 grain bullet. It has really worked well and is consistently accurate for me.

I believe the load you are useing is going to be hard to beat . My Wolverine really likes the knight 260gr bullet with the supplyed sabot pushed by 90gr of goex powder and lit by RWS #11 primers .

Good luck! Experimenting with different loads and bullets is one of the most fun things about having a muzzy. Here are some websites that I have ordered bullets/sabots/accessories from in the past. I don't have any particular preference- I just check all of them to see what is in stock and which site has it cheaper...
