Default Bought Another Renegade!

First off my wife is going to kill me! This morning before I went out hunting I found a T/C Renegade .58 Cal on GunBroker new in the box and unfired. Being a .58 it has to be from Fox Ridge. Anyway I throw a bid on it and didn't meet the reserve so I went hunting. When I got home I took a peek and there was 8 minutes to go on the auction. To make a long story short my wallet is missing $500. I love renegades and I just couldn't resist. I don't need the gun by any means I just wanted it. I have a traditions crockett rifle and a sporterized 8mm mauser I guess I will be selling now so I can keep from getting divorced

You wife won't really kill you shooter, just make you wish she would.

At any rate, a .58 Renne is worth the risk. My .58 Green Mountain barrel is presently on a TC Hawken stock. It has a 1:70 twist and shoots wonderfully. I believe the TC barrel has a 1:66 twist, which should be just fine. We'll be looking forward to your first range report.

$500 is a lot of bread for a gun that I could have probably bought new for less, but a new unfired in the box from fox ridge makes it a sweet deal (atleast that is what I keep telling myself!). I know my 58 Big Boar is a shooter. It throws PRB in 1 ragged hole in the target at 50 yards all day and it has the 1:48 twist. I want to shoot it further but the shooting club I am a member of closes the range beyond 50 yards during hunting season due to public hunting land behind the range. Anyway I can't wait to shoot the new Renegade. I have a 50 + 54 + and now two 58's (also have 2 GM drop in barrels for them).
