Default Back from Ohio

Just got back from Ohio tonight. It was a tough hunt to, rained for the first 3 days of the season and the deer were holding tight. My wife and I did manage to shoot three deer. A doe apiece and she got this buck Saturday afternoon. I wanted to leave Saturday morning to come home and she wanted to stay and hunt sat. It was a good thing we did stay because she got this.

Nice buck. I was hunting Licking County and the deer were not moving at all. I probably heard 20 shots the entire week?

Awesome! I'm glad it worked out for you and your wife. That's a nice looking buck. I got a button buck that I thought was a doe, but it was not a good year in Ohio for hunting gun season. My experience was similar to chaded - the weather was bad most of the week, the deer were just not moving much, and I did not hear nearly as many shots as usual....

Congrat's to Both of You!
It's done Nothing but Rain here most of this Hunting Season also, along with the Warm Weather, No Snow and hardly any Hunters out the Deer are Holding Up and have it made.

Her buck is a 10pt with a busted G4 on the left side. He has a 16 inch inside spread and has lots of mass. Her little Optima did the trick. This is her best buck to date so he gets a trip to the taxidermy.
