Ouch. Believe it or not, that happened to me and my friend also. We were pheasant hunting and about lunch time we laid our shotguns down in the grass being careful to point them in a safe direction and sat down to have a bite. After a while, my lab was getting a bit edgy and stepped on the trigger housing of my friend's 1100 pushing off the safety and depressing the trigger. No one was injured but it was a lesson learned. Even when taking a break, when the weapon is not in your complete control, unload it.
