Default top 5 bullets for the avg. hunter

I was thinking. most of us on here shoot muzzleloaders, bullets and sabots more then the avg hunter. i think it would be intrusting to see what we think the top 5 bullets the avg hunter uses.

1: powerbelts
2: xtps
3: tc maxi hunters
4: shockwaves/sst
5: tc surefires

these are just based on what i seen going off the shelf at walmart, gunshops, and farm stores.

Probably not high on the sales list at the stores but my #1 choice for hunting deer is the Barnes Expander MZ.
#2 - XTP

I could'nt tell you what the Top 5 are, here in NY we can use Sabots, most Hunters use them, very few use Balls and Maxi's
My Bullett of choice is the 240gr XTP, the same for all My Hunting Buddy's execpt one uses TC Shockwaves.

I'd say statistically for hunters Powerbelts #1, XTP's #2 Shockwave/SST #3

Around here most use sabots with Shock Waves, Deep Curl, Barns or XTP wit about 20 percent staying traditional and using PRB.
We have a 200yd deer match that sorts out most of the rainbow trajectory stuff.
I use a lot of TC stuff and the only TC surefire I know of is a flashlight, that would take a fairly large bore.

I used PBs one year and was successful. But after reading some of the horror stories in here, I'm not sure if I would use them again. I think I will stick to my XTPs. They've yet to let me down and are super accurate.

Judging by over all sales, the list might be very different from region to region in our country. Some need long distance projectiles, others short distance heavy woods, others are moderate distance with some open area.

So for me, my personal list of projectiles I use;

Roundball
Conicals
XTPs 300 grain
Scorpion 260 grain funnel nose
Powerbelt 295 grain

and that list might be totally different next year. Good question there..

Not sure what order the list will be, but PB's and round balls have to at the top. Don't forget the RB's are packaged 100 a box, and are used for a lot more reason than hunting. They are also cheap, so guys shoot more of them.

I'll put a RB at top, and the PB next.
