Default New TC Triumph .50 cal zeroing...

Well I finally broke down and got myself a new .50 cal Triumph Muzzle Loader by Thompson Center. I'm on the new side to this muzzle loading thing so here's my question. I'm shooting 100gr (2 pellets) of Triple 7 powder and a Traditions 250gr sabot with CCI 209 primers. I have it shooting left to right dead on and an 1 1/2" high at 50 yds. Where would I be hitting at 100 yds??? I would have shot out to 100 yards today but I ran outta daylight.

and inch high at 50 yards.. you should be almost dead on or even a little low, at 75 yards and low at 100. But as you said, you have to check it. And that is only a guess based on my range time.

When you really start scratching your head is when your dead on at 50 and three inches high at 100 yards..

I agree with Dave on this one, you'd be a little low but still good at 100, the Left to Right is YOU.
You did'nt say weather or not you have a Scope on your Ml?? if you have a Scope on it I could quide you in the right direction for getting your Scope Close to a 100. But if Your Shooting Open Sights 100yds is Tough to get 1" Groups, that's All Practice on Your Part.
When you asked where would you be Hitting at 100 yds has me wondering as you said you ran out of daylight. You did'nt plan on Hunting in the Morning with your ML did you?

Like Breachplug said it might be you, it is also typical when the powder load is not quite right. You might try 110 and 115 maybe even 120 grains.

I am going to say you might be close to dead-on at 100 yds if your 1 1/2 to 2 inches high at 50. Good luck. Let us know how it turned out.
