Default Finally... I get to go hunting!

After spending a year messing around at the range I will finally be in the Field next week.

In KS you can only have one antlered deer tag no matter how you hunt. I always cherish the trip we take to the western part of the state so I'm sitting around and waiting until the Wednesday after Thanksgiving. Now I need to select a weapon. Below are my choices:

As you can see, I'm guilty of spending too much time and money on this hobby but I was hooked from the start.

I plan on filling my buck tag first, then shoot a doe with a game tag. Any thoughts on what I should take?

I always pick the one that has never let me down and is the most accurate, no matter if it's the cheaper, older newer or most expensive one. You know what Load will do the Job and Im sure you also have a Favorite that likes and shoots that the best.
Good Luck and Have FUN, but most of all Be Safe!

I would go with the .54 Renegade. I love the renegades and the .54 Caliber with a .530" round ball. Absolute deer slayer! Honestly you know your guns and your hunting applications and you will make the right decision with the gun you choose. Good luck.

Here are the deer from the last two years. I hope I can keep getting lucky.

The Hawken is definitely coming along. I'm still deciding between the Omega and the 50 Disc Extreme. My thoughts are to go with the Capper in the trees and the inline out on the prairie.

Any of them would be hard to leave behind. Normally I take a rifle that HAS NOT drawn blood yet. That way I can justify in my sick little mind what made me purchase the thing in the first place.

Good luck. Those are some great deer.
