Default Just A Terrain Picture

You guys have seen pictures of this little 1/3 acre food plot before. But I really like this one so I thought I would post it. It was taken from my box stand Saturday morning, facing West just as the sun was rising.

This is what the woods surrounding that field look like, and explains why we spend the time and effort to maintain food plots and sitting in box stands.

Why did I know that reply was coming?

My food plots are detirmined by logging or non-logging activities of the Forest Service, State of Idaho, Potlatch, 3 Rivers, and other private land owners...

Semi, you have a nice plot there! Nice 'n green! I hunt some of that same nast thick stuff. That's why I laugh when people who've never hunted the east try and tell me to spot and stalk deer.

So Muley, do you seed that every year?
I would like to show you guys a picture of my food plot. But oh yeah, that's right, I don't have one...shucks! Unless of course you count 60' tall white oaks and red oaks mixed in with maple, birch, sassafras and a bunch of other decidious trees with the occasional evergreen.
