Default Traditions Vortek Ultra Light Photos

A few forum members were asking about the rifle so here is the run down. Have had this rifle for a little while now, did some horse trading with a friend of mine who has a FFL and the wholesaler he got it from was having a sale.Been playing with another rifle so in a few weeks a range report will come.

• Accelerator Breech Plug
• LT-1 Alloy Frame with Premium CeraKote Finish
• 28” Ultralight Chromoly Tapered,
Fluted Ported Barrel with
Premium CeraKote Finish
• Ultralight Drop Out Trigger
factory set at four pounds
• Hogue Comfort-Grip Overmolding
• 360 Degree Barrel Porting reduces muzzle jump
• Quick Relief Recoil Pad
• Speed Load System– easy loading and more consistent groups
• Dual Safety System
• Soft Touch camouflage stocks
• Fast action release button
• 1:28" twist rifling
• Extended ambidextrous hammer spur
• Williams metal fiber optic sights
• Drilled & tapped for scope
• Sling swivel studs
• 209 shotgun primer ignition
• Over-travel hammer
• Thumbhole stocks available
• Solid aluminum ramrod

Here is a few shots of the Rifle

Next photo is the inside of the frame with trigger out. The screw you see is to take out the firing pin and retainer, making it so you dont have to send to Traditions for cleaning

Last photo is of the trigger I asked a few people about it being plastic or polymer and One reminded me that the very Glock I own is made of it as well.Trigger is smooth no grit and right around 4lb's
Range report will follow waiting on DNZ base to come in and a few other items..Fit and finish of the Rifle is great nice balance as well

I like that. It will be very interesting to see how clean it shoots in the trigger area. Looks easy enough to get at for a good scrubber at the end of the year you know?

Yea I went ahead and installed the little o ring in the primer pocket and with a win 209 primer it takes a nice snap and she seals up tight.
But you are right will shoot her and see how cleans she is after a 100 or so rounds..

A very nice looking rifle. It will be interesting to see the range report from you.

Thanks Floyd

I really got this rifle to use on some coyote stand this season.
It is about a pound lighter than a few other rifles I have and it seems to swing faster and have a better balance..

I had one, and it was very accurate. I even tried to sell it to Jon.

I used Thors. No sabots in Colorado.

If sabots were legal here. I'd probably use the Barnes TMZ.

I like all copper bullets. I used them a lot in CF guns, and they never let me down.
