Default Lube

I have a box of TC Maxies that I shoot out of my White rifle. I found this box in the truck (did't know I had them). The lube has melted off of them and I was wondering what kind of lube to put back on them so they are useable. I have bore butter, will that work? Also is the main purpose for the lube to make it load easier or for a gas seal?

I also use BB. But if its warm the BB gets pretty sloppy. I mix it 50/50 with bees way to make it a little more stable.
