Default Filmed a great coyote hunt!

I filmed this hunt 5 days ago guys. My brother in law and i went out towards Folsom New Mexico. We hunted close to this area during muzzleloading season and coyotes were out all over the place in big numbers. When we were calling this day we had 5 yotes barking back at us from all sides. Two coyotes came in and..... Well, just watch for yourself LOL. I got a lot of footage from the calling, to walking closer and then seeing them running into us.

Jon if you want to kill more yotes, just ad one of these to your arsenal. those 2 yotes would have been fighting to get to it.http://www.cabelas.com/product/Hunti...3Bcat104515380

I would have taken my stand before calling too. You guys moved a lot. Coyotes have excellent vision. That dog was too suspicious to come any closer.

we called and waited for a good 15 minutes. They were just taking their sweet time. We never knew they were there till we were walking to another area and my bro in law spotted them.

Now now Jon. You had him on camera, and moved in closer.

I'm blind, but not that blind.

I only spend 15 minutes max in one spot and move on. i normally set up to call canyons or washes and i l always carry a shot gun and a rifle also.if you buy a mojo you will need a shotgun, take my word on it lol.

How did yall not see that second dog behind him? You can see it clearly on film at 6:58. We never start talking or moving for at least a couple minutes after the shot. We immediately hit the call to try and coax in any of its buddies. If yall had stayed still and immediately zeroed in on that other one yall probably could have had 2. But good shot and very entertaining I enjoyed the video. Those dogs sure are tough. My brother blew a baseball size hole out of one last year with a 30-06 and it ran 100+ yards before it died and I shot one in the boiler room at 20 yards with a hollow point .223 and we never found the dang thing he hit some thick stuff and was gone. It is amazing how tough and resilient they are. We have always said coyotes and c0ckroaches will be the only things remaining after a nuclear blast.

No way of seeing the other coyote due to the breaks in the land. It looks flat on camera but once you walk it, its a new ball game.

This coyote had a 3" hole in him and he still went a good ways. I walked right up on him though, couldnt have worked out any better.

I see but did you see him when the other coyote went right in front of him if the camera can see him you surely could to. But I understand if he did a 180 and was back out of sight again that is understandable for why he got so far away before he reappeared. What caliber were yall shooting?

never saw him at all until we fired the shot. He may have just been behind the hill "coming towards us".
