They are pretty good. They do take a jacket over the primer. You need to talk to Busta about them. He has designed some modifications for them.

They make a after market plug for it that takes a bare 209 primer that will work great with BH209.Hubbards rod is nice to get also.
They will shoot just about anything you can shove down the barrel very accurate.

If it wasn't for the MU breech plug, I probably would not have kept my Huntsman. That change alone has made it one of the cleanest ML I own. One little thing that still annoys me about the Huntsman is that I cannot get the scope as low as I like them to be with the factory stock due to the hammer. I know what it takes to solve it but just don't want to spend more money on it right now.

Don't have the Huntsman, but do have the Sidekick. Why they dumped the Sidekick, is beyond me. I did change the BP to the 209 model and it shoots the BH209 which makes it one of my favorite ML. I also bought the replacement ramrod, and it is a good deal. Mr. Hubbard is a gentleman to say the least. A wonder to do business with!

I originally bought my gun for $159. at Bass Pro as a spare gun. Eventually I ended up getting rid of my Encore and went to the Sidekick as my primary hunter. I have shot more deer with this gun then any other gun in my safe!!! I ended up putting a MLing scope on. It was a Tasco 2.5x and works great here in the woods of Virginia.

And as you can see the rings are set very low. They are the lowest rings available from weave in the 4x4 series. I have no problem shooting with this setup. I did have to get the offset rings for a better eye relief.

All in all, I am very satisfied with this gun. However, it must be upgraded to make it more modern and current in today's ML community of guns. If you make the man an offer, I would go with $175. for the either one. I feel that is all they are worth as they sit! Remember they have to be upgraded at a cost of about $70 for the BP and ramrod! The BP is a must, as the ramrod is a luxury.
