Default My favorite break action Muzzleloader

The T/C Triumph is just plain fun. I sold this Triumph to my 80 Year young hunting buddy a couple years ago. He came along today and also brought the T/C with him. He keeps saying Tom, i need to get a Knight and i tell him No. At 80 years young, he is alot weeker though in great shape. The QLA is a huge advantage for him. The bullet is already in the barrel and easier to load. The primer is very easy for him to put in and take out. The QR breech plug is also easier for him to take in and out. The gun is also very light and easy to handle. And Dave from Lehigh defense made a special bullet for him that's easier to load. The Triumph is really a great gun for everyone let alone somebody in there 80's.

I shot three bullets out of this gun at 100yards. The first bullet with a really oily barrel was a couple inches high. The next two shot right beside each other at 100 yards. No reason for me to shoot any more so i moved the target into 50 yards for him. He shot the bulls eye twice and said thanks.

I would have to agree Grouse. Of all the break opens that I've shot/owned, the Triumph is superior. It's not picky on bullets, cleans easy and handles BH well. I don't shoot open sights so the shoulder fit is nice as well.

He did I remember reading that also... but I beleive it was a part of the text... or implication of the text if you wanted a break open - it was really a good one for $160 at Sportsmans Guide - hard to beat that and get a Green Mountain barrel.

Now i agree with that, them visions are good shooters.... I have a friend that has one and he loves it, very acurate as well... but, man is that thing Fugly... But, if only pretty was allowed in the field, I would be left at home as well....

Fugly is a under statement lol, they have other issues as well, like the BP and longgggggg LOP stock. seems they shoot well though.

Yep! I really have a hard time with the looks of it also... reminds me of my Remington 870.... but honestly I dod like the fact that it is hammerless and has a regular safety.... it really is not hammerless but at least you do not have to pull it back - it is already back...

Ya... if it were a looking contest to get into the field I would be in deep problems.. but my truck is good looking - anyway I like it....

This Triumph is my 11yr old sons given to him by his grandfather. He likes it but I do not care for the stock. Just does not feel right or fit me right. TH's have spoiled me I guess. I wanted to buy the Bone Collector stock since it has a 1" shorter length of pull but TC has not offered it for sale yet. I am afraid what they would want for it anyway.

It now wears a TBML 3-9x40 in DNZ high rings.

I was hoping they would come out with a cleaned up version of the Venture with a redesigned BP this year as I sold the Knight I had to my hunting buddy and wanted another one but they did not and I have never been able to go for a bolt action muzzle loader.

Money is really tight and you like break action muzzleloaders, you just cant beat a Knight Vision in quality and price.

Above is a cut And paste from the other thread. To me it explains itself. The knight vision is a steal for under $200.00 bucks. IF your considering price, yes the vision would be a much better deal. Everything equal the Triumph wins easy in my opinion only. I hope that changes in the future, it will if I have anything to do with it. I hope I cleared the confusion up?
