I would guess the low drags were to loose for that rifle.. I think you will need a thicker sabot.... HPH-24 and if the barrel is old enough possibly even a HPH-12

I am confused... which is nothing new.... you say the HPH-24 loaded easy - then had to be hammered down the barrel...

With the Pyro powder you mightr have to run a damp patch after the shot

So are you saying they loaded easily through the crown (muzzle) but need to hammered down the barrel???

The vertical stringing looks like inconsistent barrel pressure Of the load or holding the forearm of the stock with a different amount of grip pressure. Just a thought

sorry for got to mark on the list the sst with low drags went do easily and shot well for me.

as for the mmps. that is one of the confusing parts. I shot two then swab to train if I need an second shot in the field. I don't know what is going on with my usak. I was able to go 3 shots with out swabbing on just about any sabot. with the 24's they should of taken just thumb pressure to start. even after an swab I had to use a lot of force

how I set my front bag up, it allows me to get the same hold on the gun every time.

who knows. I may have been shaken up an 22 off while I was still down range.

You can never tell what was the cause. You just have to examine everything you did and ask yourself if anything was different. I bet it was fun to shoot though.

took an look at my knight when I was cleaning it. looked like it had metal spurs. jbed it and ran an sabot down the bore felt smoother and easier to load.

poor silver eagle. it has not had any comment lol

olive oil patch from the gun. only ones I could find, picked up at the end of day and blow them away this felt really dry when I was working with them.

this is really the first I have worked with this gun on powders patches and lubes.

what I learned on it. looking like either olive oil or 50 crisco and 50 bore butter patchs. it will shoot the pyrodex rs well but I have to tap it every time. shoots pyrodex p just fine. for conicals just t17 lubes see to do just fine. going to work more with this one next time out.
