Default If Harvester sabots are so popular, why can't I find them except thru the mail??

Are they just popular on this board or something? I hate the fact that I have to order them online and pay S&H. My local outdoors giant (Greentop) doesn't carry them, and I have both a Gander Mountain and a Bass Pro locally and they don't carry them, D1ck's doesn't carry them (not surprising)...NOBODY DOES. What's up with that?

it's just this board, so just use the ones that come with your bullets or the ones on the shelf.... no need to pay shipping....

I have had way better results with the crush ribs I currently have, but am almost out of. Not happy about having to order more online.

Get ahold of Harvester. I was talking to Ron one time and he asked where I lived and he told me a gun shop down the road carried the Harvester sabots. Even though I just moved here I probably still wouldn't of even known that. As far as your stores like dicks and whatnot your probably not going to find them. I know Cabelas carries them but for some people they don't have one close.

I order a dozen packs at a time from Graf & Sons. With their $4.95 flat rate shipping it's no more than the cost of gas and tax to buy them locally (even if I could, which I can't).

So do i.

Lawton is supposed to be the third largest city in OK. However, you can't find any powder, bullets, sabots or much else in this town. There is a big gunstore about 35 miles away but the guy is a rip-off artist. He charges $10.00 per tin of musket caps, for example.

Thats what i do as well, Semi.... Just figured if the OP was going to say, he absolutely hates paying shipping.... there was no need to convince him they are worth it!!!

InRecord - I do hate paying shipping, but the $4.95 deal ain't half bad (didn't know about Graf's). More than anything, I'm just wondering why places like Bass Pro, Gander Mountain, etc don't carry them. Maybe they're a well-kept secret or something, LOL.

where i live it is hard to get any sabots at dicks or gander mountain, unless they are packaged with the bullets... i am not sure why most don't carry them but, it seems the ones they do carry are cheaper and they get a better deal on them or what ever the reason... i have found that the harvester short black is what my gun prefers so, i buy them in bulk.... and when you do they average less than the ones i have never heard of, that dicks or gander carry....

Cabelas does carry them, i thought a few years back we were going to get a cabelas then the economy went to **** and they pulled out...gave the land back to the state and all... we will never have a good store without driving 100 miles....

I've yet to find either MMP or Harvester sabots at any store I've visited, and I've gone to quite a lot. Stuck with ordering them if I want to shoot any bullets that don't come with them (like Speer Deep Curls). Fine with me.
