Default Crush Rib

Why do they call it a "Crushed Rib" sabot?? How do the two sabots differ?? I bought some of each and am going to try both of them. But just curious what the real difference is?? Thanks, Tom.

The crush rib I believe is designed to reduce friction by 50% making it easier to load. If you look at the two side by side the ones are "smooth" and the crush rib ones have the little grooves on them. I believe someone else can probably give you a better explanation on sabots as Im no expert but thats my take on them.

chaded is correct. They are both the same diameter but the CRs are easier to load in a tighter bore as the ribs 'crush' as needed filling the voids between them which makes them slightly smaller in diameter.(less material to displace during loading.)
