Default Bought the Encore

Well a few weeks ago i posted a question about 777 left in a barrel. And this guy was selling an Encore(camo-stainless) with Nikon 3x9x40 scope for $450. I offered $350 and low and behold I bought it. Got home and worked the barrel over with numerous cleaning products. Breech plug trashed-bought new one. Replaced the extractor with the e-z tip version. Now as for the barrel not bad a little corrosion where the pellets were sitting and only minor spots the rest of the way. The locking bolt was busted in half and I took her to a shop near me to be replaced(Clyde's). The gun smith said the barrel is fine "hell mines in worse shape" he said. As for shooting that will have to wait until the end of hunting season. Our farm in VA we don't allow any gun shooting after August. And who knows might flip her and buy something else by then.
Will the original Encores shoot BH209?

Man that was a fantastic deal. Heck the frame and stocks are worth that or a little more. You got the barrel for free!! Tom.

That's a heck of a deal. Hang on to it, I think you'll be happy. I had a bit of a rough start with mine, but the more time goes by I find myself wanting to shoot it more and more.
It should shoot BH209 just fine.

Sounds like you got a good deal and hope all goes well for you pal. I had an Encore, but had some trouble with the rimfire barrels I had. Also had a tight spot and sent it back to the company for repair. But I now have an Encore in 218 Bee and love it. Never thought of getting a muzzle barrel, I have too many ML now!

Here is mine:
