Default Good deal on conicals

I try to buy local as much as possible.well I went to the hardware store today and as I was perusing bullets I noticed the 54 cal TC maxiball and maxi hunters were marked down from $10.25to $6.50 they said the lube was drying out. He said if I wanted them I could buy them all for $5.00 each.I figured that would last me a good long time and they shoot good in the Great Plains Hunter so I took all 20 boxes 400 bullets. A good deal considering the 15 pack powerbelts aerolite was $34.95 a pack and barnes was 32.95 for 20. I figure them 430Gr conicals will be just fine especially for a quarter each.

just bought a new mold to cast some 320gr real's. Im going to buy the 370gr lyman mold next now that i know my Optima will shoot them good. Expensive but beats paying store prices LOL. Especially for 20 rounds.

Now to try the 320 reals out!

that is a good deal and I don't blame you for jumping on it. If the lube gets old and dry, knock it off and just put new lube on. For that price you can't go wrong.

I don't know about T/C products but I was given four boxes of Great Plains conicals earlier this year that the lube was dried out and was told by a representative of Hornady that they were usable as they were with no added lube or to set them on a windowsill in the sun for a while before I used them. They shoot just fine either way. Call T/C and see what they advise.
