Default To hot to shoot, so try this.

It was 100 degrees today. I was going to shoot but decided to wait for it to cool down a little. So in the mean time let's make believe you won a hunting trip to Alaska. You can take a gun case with only 2 guns in it. What two would you take and why? Your tags are good for Moose, Bear and Mountain Goat.
Inlines or traditional , either ne or one of each is Ok. For example i think this is a good combination. Not sure it would be the final choice but to get things started we will go with it.
Knight 50 cal Long Range Hunter grey thumbhole laminate, and White M97 504 grey thumbhole laminate.

I know the pics aren't great but the Devil is never around when you need him.

Are you sure those are legal in Alaska? And is one of those going to put a big ole Grizzly Bear down?

.50 caliber Traditions Pursuit
The Butt Ugly Red Headed Step Child (.54 caliber Traditions Deerhunter)
For them Big Ole Bars

Well, I'd love to say I'd take my 700ML and my .54 flintlock, but I've yet to find a case that will hold my flintlock... (it's about 5ft long) So I guess I'd have to take a Hawken instead. I'd hunt moose and Bear with the Hawken and use the 700ML for the goat.

My case would hold my White Ultra Mag .504 and I would be shooting a large conical bullet out of it with 100 grains of Triple Seven. I am sure it would take the moose and the bear with little problem.

The other rifle for the goat would be my White Model 97 in .451 caliber. I would be again shooting a 460 grain conical bullet and 100 grains of triple seven and I have no doubt that would take a goat at long distance.

OK.. i wanna get in this one also.. Actually the thought of Alaska is pretty appealing right now if I were going way back in the out back to ??? Junction to Bull Shop Dan's place...

So, the first one I would probably grab is the Knight DISC Extreme 52 cal...

Then I am sure i would take the White UMag .504

But it would really be hard to leave behind a Knight DISC Elite 45 cal... the bottom gun...

Ok I'll play.
For the bear I'll get up close and knock him down with my .540 Bison.

For the rest I will use my .451 Super Safari.

When are we leaving?

I have no doubt that either one would be sufficient especially the white with a big 460 gr conical.speaking of whites I am surprised that so many people have a White as one of the guns.I guess there are a lot of smart folks here

That would be fun to hunt a moose with that .58 caliber shooting a big roundball with about 110 grains of powder behind it. I have no doubt it would be bad medicine on one.
