Default Breech plug question

Can you tell me what method you use to prep the breech plug when installing a new knight-Lehigh plug (tape or grease) when your shooting T7 and BH209.

Both work . Tape is less messy. Stretch one layer of tape tight its what works best for most of us.

I use just a bit of BP grease on the vent liner - if you have a vent liner that you can remove, which it sounds like you will not. I than tape the BP. I use the pink tape in most Knights but in two of mine I have to use the thinner white tape.

I am a worry wort. I use tape and then just a very thin film of anti seize over the tape. The reason I do this is I have had bad experiences with just tape. Not that they don't come out, but to get them started they seem to take a little more pressure on the rifle then I like to give. So with just a light smear of the anti seize also, they back right out.

Both will work fine for you. And I am sure the tape is a lot less mess.

I use tape too and just a very very light amount of MX oil on both threads. I like anti seize better but i hate cleaning up the mess it leaves.
