Default Not as bad as i thought

My brother in law did this to his Wolf last week and when i saw the picture i hated it! I still think the color is ugly and just plain, but after seeing it in person, i actually took a liking to it

He's ordering a scope on the 15th and once thats mounted we'll take it and go sight her in with 250gr Thors and try out the 260gr harvesters. Our season in NM starts on the 24th so we have plenty of time. My Optima is all ready to roll.

I think it looks pretty good. What color was it before? Was it the camo one? What kind of scope did he order for it?

That's what nice about those synthetic stocks. If you don't like the color, you can change it fairly easily. And that looks good. I think it drew you back cause it was quite a bit different thean what you're used to.

this one was black on black. I'd like to see some black or white spider webbing or something on it but he wants it all tan. Works either way.

Hes going to order a bushnell banner dusk to dawn. Possibly 6x or a 3-9x40

Very true bronko, its an off color that im not used to but it looks a lot better in person and actually gave the stock some feel to it.

If he's ordering the 3-9x 40 , have him order the 200 MZ with the 200 yd BDC recticle, same price and very clear, i just bought one.the stocks looks great and appears to be biege. i have paint coming in to do several of mine and if you want i can send you pics of how to use sponges to do a great camo job on it.can also put you onto places to buy clear flat to cover it with after painting for protection.i will post pics, when mine is done and i know you and others will like it and it's way cheaper than dipping.. I like it. Beats black-on-black any day.

I wonder how it would look with one of these on the buttstock.

it looks nice. Not something I would do mind you, but if he's happy with it.. that's all that matters

Semi, there are all kinds of stencils you can buy if that's what a person is after.i have been practicing with the artist sponges and i will tell you that a person can do some nice camo jobs and spend less than $15.00. mine will based after natural camo, since it's all i have wore for years. it blends in well where i hunt and they now have a pattern with green in it for area's that are more wooded..
