Default ULA information i have found over the years.

http://www.newultralight.com/HTML/mz.html

I have shot alot of game over the years with a NULA. I pretty much used this gun four years in a row in Texas. And i can tell you the number one load in mine and Chucks was the 275grn Parker ballistic extreme. 42grns of n110 and it was over. 30 yards was the most i ever tracked a game animal with this bullet. I would not even call it tracking.

These bullets clearly out shined Barnes and Hornady by a long shot. I will say, the 250grn Parker ballistic Extreme was not as good. I remember at least two animals i watched shot with that bullet went along way and one was not found. It was a pretty big texas Hog.

Another key for me with the NULA was the harvester short black sabots. Dont waste your money on crush ribs cause they actually suck in most Muzzleloaders. If you feel the need to spend extra money or you like them, great keep buying them then.

Another extremely accurate load was the 250grn Bonded shockwave and 42grns of 4759. Not the stuff in the can, the stuff in the plastic bottle. I believe it was the newer stuff and boy did it shoot. That bullets sucked on game, but a great bullet to shoot paper with.

The key for me and the Nula was a good hold on the bench. The gun is very light and you really need to learn how to shoot it on the bench. The Triumph is similar.

Another key was CCI primers, they just worked better in that gun. Harvester sabots for 300grn or less bullet. They just worked fantastic.

You really only need two powders with this gun. N110 and 4759. Both powders need weighed by weight not volume. If any of you need any info just ask.

BTW, i'm working with Lehigh to make a bolt similar to the ULA and as smooth for our 1/20 twist 45. I really want this gun to be top notch. It takes time and alot of testing to accomplish this.

Here are some pics and animals killed with my NULA.

Thats freaking nuts for a muzzleloader. I would never spend that much for just the rifle. Then you add the scope, rings, etc. Your looking at 1500 to 1700 total. Rather spend that money on a guide hunt with my Triumph that cost total of 700 and thats getting deals on everything. Just tooo rich for my blood.

Funny that you don't think $700 for a Triumph is nuts.

700 total was the Bone Collector, Steel base and Rings, and Nikon Omega Scope. So actually I paid 400 for the gun itself. 200 for the scope and 100 for rings and base. Thank you very much.

My NULA shoots MOA at over 2300fps with ease and only weighs 7lbs ready to hunt and loaded. I would gladly pay $1300 for one in 45cal but Mel quit making them. Nosler actually uses his action for load work. There is no stronger action that is as light as his model 20. Tolerances are kept to .0015 for the bolt and receiver. All parts are 4140 or 4350? that have been stress relieved and tempered to his specs. The forged bolt is quick release and simple to use with two rear locking lugs. The breach plugs are made for the CCI209M and last for over 10,000 shots of smokeless.

I also use 41-44gr of N110 and just bought some 4759 and i have a bunch of Parker 275s are on the way too.

The trigger isn't just a Timney, its one Melvin designed and ships at 2lbs. The bare graphite/Kevlar stock is made in house, full length bedded and weights 1lb before adding the recoil pad and trigger guard.

The Douglas Premium hand lapped barrel that is kept to under .001 variation is smooth as silk loading a Harvester Smooth sabot.

At $1300 its a steal. He cant make his CF guns fast enough for the demand and they sell for over $3000. Compared to the $5000 customs from other highend ML makers, that are pigs to carry, i will take a NULA every time.
