Default Lyman Customer Service?

Hows lymans CS?

Just got a GPR in that someone wants me to build and when i went to do a mock build to make sure there were no problems, i found a problem, a few to be exact.

#1 - The rear tang screw hole is misaligned GREATLY.
#2 - Forward tang screw hole is slightly off.
#3 - The biggest problem, tang screw that goes down and screw directly into the steel bushing, was off center which ended up with a stripped bushing/tang screw.

Someone named Joe supposedly inspected this kit but obviously not.

Call them tomorrow and see what they can do.

I have heard mixed reports about their customer service. I haven't needed to use it on my GPR. Keep us posted on how they treat you.

I damaged some screws on my Trade Rifle. I was putting it into a maple fullstock, and buggered the head on two, and completely broke a third one. I called and told them I wanted to buy replacements, having messed up the originals all by me ownself. She asked for my guns S/N, name and address, and sent me new ones free of charge.

YMMV

I have used Lyman Customer Service and they are great. I purchased a barrel very cheap that was plugged. I was told it was plugged and being a flintlock, they could not take the breech plug out and fix it. I sent it to Lyman and they unplugged it. Unfortunately they advised me that the barrel had a large gouge in it and was not going to shoot real well. All I can do is cut it off. But they charged me nothing for sending in the barrel, and clearing the barrel. They Federal Expressed it back to me within two weeks with a letter explaining what they did and what they discovered.

So I guess all I can do is cut the barrel down and make a .50 caliber horse pistol out of it. But I am not really into that kind of thing.
