This is a excellent price on a extremely solid built rifle with a GMB barrel and shoots conicals as well as saboted bulletshttp://www.oeoutfitters.com/scripts/...?idproduct=796. shot the wolf and i bought this one. although the wolf is a great lil rifle for the money. Ray

builder have you noticed how deceptive that Knight Wolverine add really is? It has a 22 inch barrel and they are praising the ability to shoot 150 grain loads. Granted the rifle can take it, but I would almost guarantee you would not burn off all that powder. I have three of them rifles and they like 85 grains of loose powder. BUT they are a great rifle. That is the same price I paid for mine several years ago.

Fact is no mass produced rifle regardless of barrel will burn all of a 120 gr charge lol. and very few are accurate with that much powder..especially one with a 22" barrel. all of the M/L companys claim the same thing, Knight is no different.i have held a wolf in my hands and shot one. the quality is nowhere near the Knight wolverine.there built rock solid with excellent stocks, sights barrels and even the triggers are nice also.and they can tack drive a 460 gr NE conical, as well as saboted .250 gr Deep curls.Ray

That is a very good price. However, I already have a Wolf so I don't see the need to add another

That is a good price on a Knight rifle. But I need another .50 caliber muzzle loader like I need another hole in my head. That's why I'm going with something bigger next time.

Long live the 54cal!!!!

If i liked a more traditional style, the Cabelas sporter carbines with the fast twist 1-24 54cal would be high on my list. Other fast twist 54cal choices are fairly rare and limited.

I just spent $400 plus on a new Bighorn direct from Knight, when all I wanted was a stainless barrel Wolverine like the blued one I love. Oh well, at least I supported the new Knight manufacturer and got serial number 50 on my Bighorn.

Nevermind: I see the add specs say it is blued.
