Default IMR White Hots - 250gr Powerbelt Aerolite

Took that combo out today even though it was 92 friggin degrees! Had one heck of a rain storm yesterday which flooded the drive way and washed all kinds of debris into the gravel, but i felt like shooting today and just about killed myself with the intense heat and then add into the moisture in the air due to the soaked ground. I got up to my shooting table and felt like my heart was about to burst out of my chest. This kind of weather really affects my breathing, slight case of asthma and i don't carry anything on me so i deal with it LOL.

But anyway, i used my new Optima with both 100 and 150gr charges IMR White Hots, Winchester W209 primers, 250gr Powerbelt Aerolites and the results were pretty darn fantastic for pellets.

I did swab between shots as the crud ring is still there and everything worked just fine.

The 150gr load actually grouped a bit tighter that the 100gr load.

I'll get some pictures up here later on once i take a break to cool down.

The only darn place that had cool shade was under the side of my truck. I only did this after i fired 3 shots and then went to check the target.

Top 3 shots are with 150gr IMR White Hots, The bottom 3 are with 100gr IMR White Hots. 250gr Powerbelt Aerolites.

Great accuracy but swabbing still sucks.

Dang it man, don't you own a big umbrella? You can even make a holder with about five feet of two-inch PVC pipe with a spike on one end to stick in the ground to shade your shooting bench.

LOL my shooting table is fallin apart with age so im not to worried about it.

Our neighbor is going to let us borrow his backhoe along with his bulldozer so expect one heck of a nice range after i level this area out! I can squeeze in a 175 yard range for certain, maybe even 200 yards!

Going to dig a pond out as well and level out some area's for some alfalfa fields too.

Once thats all done i have plans to build a steel/cement shooting table and possibly cover it over later on.

hmmm and ideer!

I could make the shooting table into a box blind as well, maybe even extend a higher ground area on top of the roof and use that as a blind if i ever am able to hunt in the back yard.
